Details:

The Gold American Eagle Program: The Gold American Eagle series was authorized by the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985, which aimed to create a gold bullion coin program for the United States. The program was launched in 1986 and included various denominations, including the 1/10 oz size.

The design of the Gold American Eagle 0.1 oz coin, along with other denominations, draws inspiration from historic American coinage. The obverse design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens was originally created for the $20 Double Eagle coin in 1907. It is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful coin designs in American history. The reverse design, depicting a family of bald eagles, was created by Miley Busiek specifically for the Gold American Eagle series.

The Gold American Eagle coins are issued by the United States Mint, a bureau of the Department of the Treasury. They are minted in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985. The Act specifies the required weight, gold purity, and design elements for the coins.
