The United States Mint will accept orders for this limited production coin, with a maximum of three coins per household during the first 24 hours of sales. These collector versions of the official American Eagle Gold Bullion Coin are made from 22-karat gold.
In 2021, the reverse design was updated for the first time in 35 years, featuring a stunning eagle design by artist Jennie Norris and sculpted by Renata Gordon. The obverse design, also enhanced in 2021, showcases Liberty holding a torch and an olive branch. In addition to the redesigned designs, the Mint has introduced anti-counterfeiting features, including a reeded edge variation on the one-ounce coin.
Each coin comes encapsulated in a black presentation case with the Mint seal and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The pricing of the American Eagle Gold Uncirculated Coin depends on the range specified in the Mint’s Pricing of Numismatic Gold, Commemorative Gold, and Platinum and Palladium Products table.
To receive a REMIND ME alert for the release of the coin, visit the American Eagle 2023 One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin page on the US Mint website. This product is included in the Numismatic Bulk Purchase Program and the Authorized Bulk Purchase Program. The United States Mint, established by Congress in 1792 and part of the Department of the Treasury since 1873, is responsible for producing the Nation’s circulating coinage as well as numismatic products.
These numismatic programs, including proof, uncirculated, and commemorative coins, operate at no cost to taxpayers. Please note that the United States Mint will only accept orders placed on or after the official on-sale date of June 1, 2023, at noon EDT to ensure fair and equal access for all customers.
